"Visited at New Year, was busier than usual outside the hotel due to the Christmas market and fair, but inside was still lovely and peaceful. Staff were efficient and friendly, the facilities were excellent and the food was fantastic. This was our second visit and we will go again. "

"Grand Hotel Excelsior is beautiful, elegant hotel not far (5 min walk) from Valletta's City Gate entrance by the Triton Fountain. "We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and it was good for our 3 nights. The room was small but comfortable. For older, less able, folks it was a steep walk up to the main streets of Valletta. The best features of the hotel were a good breakfast (included) and the amazing view from the roof-top balcony."
