"For the price, brilliant. Check in was easy, room was clean and spacious, bathroom was clean and a good size. The shower was hot and a decent pressure too. The area was quiet, I saw a few other guests ranging from retired couples to a family with a young child who enjoyed running round on the lawn. Absolutely wouldn't hesitate to stay again. maybe some basic snacks for sale would be a good idea in the absence of a bar or restaurant."

"Arrival staff were very friendly and accommodating. Parts of the hotel itself looked a little tired but this didn’t put us off. Our room did have a funny smell but we didn’t want to complain, it was still clean. The bed was little bouncy however I am aware this is a personal preference matter. The spa was lovely. Had a nice evening in there and following morning. Overall this is a lovely place to come for a short trip to wind down. "

"For the cost of the hotel I expected better service. There was one waiter serving from the bar and we sat on the lawned terrace for 25 minutes and no one came to serve us so I had to ask reception to send someone. The spa is very old and desperately in need of a full refurbishment. The food was fairly good but considering the cost wasn’t worth it as I've eaten better three course meals for less in many other top restaurants. "This was an excellent place for an overnight stay. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. The only thing was they had forgotten to provide towels and toilet paper. This was easily sorted when we asked. We had an evening meal and breakfast, which were both good. We would stay here again"
