"We booked this property for the proximity to Yosemite. The room exceeded our expectations, yes it’s dated, but we didn’t come to a National Park to hang out at the hotel. The room was big, the fireplace a plus after hiking all day in rain/sleet & the hot tubs were a must for recovery & enabled us to hike every day. We made our own meals in the room too, just planned around only having a microwave & cooktop. That way we weren’t reliant on the onsite restaurant or making breakfast before it closed...

"Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."
