"We received a warm welcome during our overnight stay. Hotel room was spotless but a little cold. Temperature couldn't be raised above a set point of 21°c and was quite cold when the heating went off during the night. We dined at the hotel which was good but again public areas were cold. It was bitterly cold but hey it's the winter and we'd expect public areas to be heated to a conformable level without the need for a coat. When we entered the bedroom there was a stench coming from the shower...

"Family of 4, girls enjoyed the spa whilst the boys went swimming. Could do with a few more options but I believe there's plans to extend the spa area in the near future. Would recommend for a short break. Adjoining tea room serves great food during the day but no dinner service, with very nice service - highly recommended. "

"Fantastic stay in a beautiful part. of Northern Ireland. Communication was great and property was even better than expected. Hot tub was a welcome addition and although the property is about 45 mins from the airport, hiring a car is easy and affordable and then you have much better access here to other spots on the coast. 5 star, would stay again, and thank you to Niall and Janeen for their hospitality. "

A note to help others is the town closes at around 4:30pm so you will have to go to the next town over to find a restaurant that is open. "Has to have five stars for the view . We saw dolphins on the first night out in the bay so take binoculars. Nice apartment, perfect for a couple . Ideal if your attending a wedding at BallyGalleyCastle Hotel , gives you more space than just a hotel room . Must admit we ate out all the time but think it had everything you could need . "The apartment itself is decorated and presented to a high standard. It is however a couple of hundred meters up an unmarked track from the main road. For unknown reasons the owners were unaware of our booking, as a result the owner wasn't available to direct us to the apartment. I would suggest making contact with the owner directly as soon as booking this apartment. "

"We only stayed one night but would happily have stayed a week. The apartment was well appointed with classy items, no cheap cutlery here. Host was friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Unique and interesting decor inside the apartment. Carrickfergus is a great place with lots to do in the town. Great WiFi."
