"Not sure if it’s every room but the shower is partially frosted glass that sits out in the room where everyone in room sees you. No privacy & very odd. I actually saw in pictures online but at first I thought it was just the inside of the bathroom. Otherwise a good place."

"So it's sobe... do the tourist thing and get it out of your system as I doubt I'll be back. For the price, this place was ok. The people working there are great and really helpful but the place bills you out like its a Spa. It's not a spa. The pool is a big as a hot top but without heat. There is a cafe right next door that jams the music starting friday morning and it surrounds the tiny pool. The rooms are really small but the pillows, beds and sheets are comfy. I would have given it 5...

"Overall, very happy with our hotel stay. Only minor issues. First, the hotel lobby smelled musty. Second, the ice machine was out of service. Room was clean, modern. AC worked wonderful. Staff very friendly and respectful. I have stayed at the Essex House in the past and will continue to stay in the future."

"It’s a cute/cool convenient property. The room is very small but ok for a single traveler. (Not sure about two people). Very little space/storage, but great shower. Had to unplug the fridge to avoid light and noise. The pool is a scene especially on Saturdays. "

"We arrived at 1 PM, when check-in time is 4 PM. The room was not ready and we asked for them to text us when it was. At 4:03 PM. I had to call the hotel from the beach. We were sitting on to ask if our room was ready. It was. So communication needs to be improved. They did keep our bags for us, and they let us change in the restrooms in the lobby, neither the men’s nor the women’s bathroom would lock; And I was walked in on while I was trying to change."

"The hotel rooms were very nice but the pre paid breakfast was awful, you had to pay for toast !!!!!!!!!!! with lack of choice for the price I would not recommend people book the breakfast. Stay away!!!!!! "
