A small thing I liked that made a big difference for me was that any staff removed their shoes before entering a guest’s room. I found it to be so thoughtful and respectful. Beautiful decor in hotel too, it’s very classic 1930s style. I will be returning here the next time I come to Hà Nội."

I checked in late, to find the main hotel closed up, and so I was directed to their ‘other’ building which was smaller, shabbier and didn’t even have a reception area.
