"Fantastic stay at the Desoto. The best part about it was the location. The staff was friendly and the hotel and room were very clean. Two minor issues were around housekeeping (came every day, but later in the afternoon, which was not convenient and the bare minimum was done to clean the room, and late check-out. We opted for it the day before we left, but it can only be requested the day of check-out, and we were ultimately declined. That was fine, however, it was advertised during online...

"Our stay was fine. The check in process was easy. The room was very nice. The area around the hotel is great with numerous bars and restaurants as well as the waterfront. My only complaint was the charge for our dog $150!! for one night. I can understand perhaps $50 but even that is a cash grab. $150 for a "pet friendly" hotel is outrageous. Maybe a refundable deposit in case the pet soils the room but this is just not right!"

"The hotel succeeded in providing a good balance between old world charm and the modern living. The room, though small, was tasteful decorated. The bed was comfortable. Included in the fee was breakfast for two at the adjoining restaurant, and it was delicious. A high point was the wine and cheese social at 5:30 in the sitting area. "Overall a great experience as all employees were all respectfaul and professional from the Valet, Service Desk, cleaning crew and bar tenders. I believe my room had mostly decaf and heard another customer mention the same. The complimentary coffee should be well stocked with condiments and realize folks likely take more than they should but the replinshniment of empty container needs to be kept in circulation. Overall, a great experience and no one is PERFECT.:)"

"Great stay, place was very clean. There are several great restaurants in walking distance. The house is a bit noisy but ear plugs were provided. Another guest took our ice packs in the freezer which was a bummer. We couldn’t find the markers to place our name on our belongings in the refrigerator. "
