Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. "Loved the charm, cleanliness, decor and location. However, internet was so bad we couldn’t watch more than a few seconds of YouTube at a time. Upstairs shower had the lowest flow we’ve ever seen, even with volume turned up to maximum. Dishwasher was commercial and required many manual steps lifting basket, etc and special soap that we never found. Easier to hand wash. No laundry and outdoor light didn’t work at night so we stepped in dog pooh getting out of the car when we arrived. Beautiful...

"Prepare for amazing views, but bring cleaning supplies and mouse traps! We were so excited to stay here. Unfortunately, that was quickly dampened. The property had not been cleaned. There were dirty dishes, cobwebs in most windows and some doors, shavings left in the sink, and dirty sheets. We also found mouse droppings on the counter and had mice running across our feet.
