This is the way place for families, the pool kept them entertained all day long! The staff were extremely friendly, there are different buffets and restaurants. I do wish that they had a policy for the pool chairs, people will put towels on them and leave almost all day and not use them. Overall we had a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

We stayed for 1 week. Let’s talk about the great things first… the resort itself is beautiful, the grounds are lush and well kept. All of the pools and restaurants are available for your use. We enjoyed to rooftop adults only pools at Ventus Ha. The views and sun are amazing at the infinity pools at Ventus. And the fun atmosphere at the Marina great. The drinks are always good .Thank you to all of the bartenders and servers at those areas, you do a great job. The food at the restaurants was hit and miss. I could always find something fresh, salad, fruit, cheese etc, but my husband was not a fan. We are not food snobs, this just wasn’t the greatest .. it wasn’t the worst either. So if you are just looking to fill up you will be fine. If you are looking to have a culinary experience this is not the resort. Also should mention.. getting reservations at the restaurants is a challenge, we dealt with 4 different people and were told 4 different stories. I think you can only book 2 at a time. The beach.. I understand that the wave breakers are necessary for the rebuilding of the beach that was lost due to hurricanes, but truly if you love spending the day walking the beach and playing in the surf this is not the resort to be at. The ocean is being held back by the breakers and it is very sludgy. A lot of garbage on the beach as well. The resort was doing their best to clean the area everyday of seaweed and trash, but still. Lastly, there were cockroaches in the elevator. Yup.roach.

Where to start!!!! We are a family of 5. We got the family room. Beds were not an issue plenty of sleep room. But once you open the Murphy bed you are now limited space!! We got room service and not enough space to eat! The bathroom was small and no private dressing area. I am a mom with teen boys!!! Be prepared to pay for WiFi!!! You get 2 devices with your stay anything after is extra, so if traveling with kids you have to pay for each kids device or any extra devices you travel with!!! The WiFi was patchy by the pool. Towels for the pool everyday was an issue. You get towel cards, one per person which is fine. However when you go to return them at the end of the day they don’t have cards to give back to you. So you are forced to take wet pool towels back to your room. Space around the pool was limited everyday unless you get up early and mark your chairs! Restaurants not that great! The food was always just mediocre!! Reservations are required but you can only make two at a time, and they are all mostly booked. Plus they do a weekly reset on Sundays so you can’t make them til a new week starts. We stayed a Tuesday to Tuesday the last few days we had to eat dinner buffet. The buffet food was hit or miss and repetitive at the Marina Location. We really enjoyed the Mercado Restaurant for lunch which was part of the Ventus!! Everything there seemed to be a little newer and nicer. We booked this vacation on reviews and feel totally misled. We will not return nor recommend!!!

The property was beautiful but the golf carts were very noisy into the night. There was not enough lounge chairs to enjoy the sun around the pools or the beach for 3 resorts. That was very disappointing. Buffet and restaurants were great and drinks were generous. Shopping was nice.

We overall liked our experience at El Cid. It was great having 3 resorts to walk to and eat at. It didn't seem crowded at all. Staff was great. Downside was our room at the marina smelled very musty. They changed our room and was a little better but still musty. Our friends had an air conditioner that wasn't working so they ended up at one of the other resorts that was newer and didn't have the musty smell. We enjoyed all the restaurants except the seafood one. Was very disappointed in the food there.

The property is beautiful. There are many choices of dining and pools to swim at plus the beach. It was a wonderful break and delightful people at every turn. So many guests we met have been up to 12 years so its a place we want to return to as well.

I loved the variety of restaurant options. The buffet had the best food. I was also very pleased with the pools and Jacuzzis. Always was able to find a chair by the pool or by the beach. The only thing ai did not like was the bad water smell coming from the shower and faucets.

Absolutely excellent stay. My expectations were exceeded!!!! Shout out to Joel for having such positive energy every time we needed a golf cart. Abraham, you made my stay memorable as my partner and I enjoyed the adults only pool 😊. Thank you! There was a man in the platinum lounge in the El Cid hotel whose name I did not get, but he was a sweetheart. Highly recommend this place. They helped make my anniversary so special. Also, Aakat was the best restaurant hands down.

Staff were amazing. Buffet was always quite excellent. Bartenders and drink options were 10/10. Very clean hotel with a ton of options for places to hangout.

Très bel endroit pour séjourner autant en famille qu'entre adulte. Belle variété de restaurants qu'il faut réserver un peu d'avance. Sinon le buffet et d'autres resto sont disponibles sans réservation. Près de Puerto Morelos et des plages. Plusieurs piscines selon vos besoins. Par contre vous serez solliciter pour participer à une rencontre de "une heure" pour le El Cid leisure club, si vous vous avez de la force de caractère allez-y et vous aurez des rabais pour des activités et des excursions. Soyez près à affronter une vendeuse, un superviseur et un contrôleur de qualité. Ils vont tout faire pour que vous achetiez leur plan et ce sous pression. Tenez leur tête et vous pourrez profiter des rabais par la suite mais n'embarqué pas dans leur gamique.
