"Very old hotel in lovely town of Rye but refurbished to a high standard. Rooms lovely crisp bed linen, Ren products beautifully pillows and an amazingly helpful booking process as had a few special requests. Restaurant really lets the hotel down though, food average for the price point but the service is almost non existent had to find a waiter to ask for drinks and another one an hour after we sat down to take our orders. The staff need quality restaurant training as nice individuals but not...

"The grounds and property itself are lovely. My lower stars are for small maintenance things - broken bedroom blind, kitchen hob kept turning off. Curtain tie backs broken. All small things that wouldn’t take them much to fix. The pool was very cold this time around. However, this is our 5th visit. We love the place and the staff are second to none. More then makes up for a few little niggles. Lucy on reception is an asset!"
