"most unique place I've stayed in -20 ft ceilings 12ft doors large comfy rooms with AC foood & bev available but tourist priced - other food & bevy available within walking distance host is very personable but will pass on misinformation - we asked about laundry service - they took it and was not ready upon check out - asked about massage service offered and stipulated which day ... went to book it and was not available Property is high priced for the area "

"They have done a wonderful job with this property. The hotel surrounds a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs a small pool/ hot tub and there is a large roof top patio. The front veranda’s are a nice place to relax as well. The staff are excellent and helped with all of our needs. The rooms are a good size with mini bars($) and wonderful rain head showers in bathrooms. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. Staff are on site 24 hrs a day. "We've just stayed at La Rosa de Ortega for a week. It was amazing! The area is really quiet, but still distinctively Cuban. For us, living in Havana Vieja would definitely not have been as relaxing as living a little bit outside of the main area. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes with a local Taxi to get to the main attractions of Havana. But you can easily spend a whole day staying at La Rosa de Ortega without going to the city.
