"Superbly comfortable beds with soft & firm pillows. Well refurbished & great location for nearby resorts. Good value. Listed as having airconditioning but this gave no cooling. When we enquired we were told that they don't have airconditioning, just air cooling - i.e. just like a fan. Buffet breakfast could be better. No mushrooms or fried eggs and the bacon & sausages seemed to be economy standard and the scrambled egg seemed like powdered egg."

Was surprised by the number of options and the omelette was one of the best I have ever eaten. Parked in train station which was only a short walk away and very reasonably priced. "Couldn't have asked for more for a short stay in Margate. 2 mins walk to the beach and very close to the centre and main amenities. Very dog friendly which is a plus, but still exceptionally clean. Room facilities excellent - lots of towels, very comfy bed, toiletries and plenty of tea & coffee. Jim is an exceptional host; the best we have ever had; cannot do too much for you. "This hotel/b&b was ok for the money, friendly host who was accommodating with check in and showed me to my room. Room was basic but had everything you need for a quick overnight stay. "

The location is perfect for anyone visiting Margate as you are a short 15min walk away from the train station and right in the old town centre next to great coffee shops, restaurants and more. Everything was an original item from the 70s, including the bed, coat hanger, chair, etc. The room was lovely decorated with the theme, and the best thing was the bathroom.
