"Can't beat the location. 3 minute WALK to Mirror Lake and everything that Lake placid has to offer. Any properties closer to the lake are several hundred dollars more per night. The hotel is dated and there really isn't a front desk attendant but the room is clean and comfortable, and any help needed is only a phone call away where a very pleasant person will speak to you about any questions or issues. "Cobble Mountain Lodge was a great place for our little family of three to use as a base to hike and explore the Lake Placid region. The cabin was cozy and fun, the a/c worked well, and the outdoor space and grill was quite helpful as we cooked a lot and the indoor space was not conducive to large meals. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. There's even a short, nice, pedestrian friendly walk to Mirror Lake and the Lake Placid brewery."
