"Amazing location and good value. The room had everything I needed and was solid but small. Good shower and comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and helpful - made restaurant reservations, booked taxis and were overall pleasant. Only negatives: no ambient sound and sadly, the room was totally clean when I checked in BUT there was some old pee on the toilet seat. I let the front desk know and they offered to switch my room but I had already started to unpack so they sent housecleaning...

"Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and genuine. Having a separate living area with a comfortable couch was a nice touch. Both pillows were very hard and inflexible and not very comfortable to sleep on. The shower door would open only half way. Front desk was notified and they alerted their handy man to fix it. "We only stayed at the De Reve for 1 night because we were catching a cruise ship the next day. Istanbul is such a great city and we would love to come back and stay longer. If/when we do, we would definitely stay at the De Reve again. The hotel was amazing but the staff was even better! "The hotel is in the perfect location for touring Istanbul. It is on the water with no noisy traffic to annoy you and keep you awake at night.
