"Best hotel in Cairo, so close to the Pyramids. Beautiful sunset views from the rooms, from the gardens and Restaurant 139. Staff was so friendly and helpful, loved the grounds. Pool was great to cool off and beat the heat. Oh and the history, I didn’t realize it was so famous for many different reasons, similar to Waldorf Astoria in NYC. If visiting Cairo, it’s a must to be at this hotel."

"Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bad winzig und es gab nicht die kleinste Ablagefläche, alles musste im Zimmer untergebracht werden. Auch Haken gab es keinen. Das ganze Hotel ist praktisch eine Baustelle, vom Stiegenhaus angefangen, der Eingang, die meisten Gänge. Der Lift ist eine Zumutung, ein großes Loch und abgebröckelte Mauern sieht man während der Fahrt. Das Hotel müsste während der Renovierung geschlossen bleiben! Sehr gut ist die Lage des Hotels. Das Frühstück passt auch."
