"This property perhaps is best appreciated by thinking of it as a 'condo ' rather than a posh resort. Very well run, clean, close attention to detail, free parking, loaner beach gear etc. If you are expecting water slides and a lazy river...no. Medium sized pool w/ hot tub that we rarely shared w/ anyone. Do note that the upstairs neighbors were loud -- early (4 and 5 am) in spite of 'quiet time'. We complained once and then let it go... Great home base to Hanalei and local beaches. "

"Property well decorated and accommodating with all essentials. Just be aware there’s no A/C and during heat of day it’s quite warm. This property is on the ground floor so limited air flow at certain times of the day. "

"The unit we stayed in was not represented in the photos, it was a little old with no bedrooms with ocean views. The patio is as pictured, evening sun exposure. Turtles in the bay. Note there is no ac, but we were fine as we were out all day and here in December. Close to a lot of great things. Would stay again, but wosh they would have been more clear on what our actual unit looked like. "

"We were very happy with our week long stay here. We were in a second floor unit, (225) and it was great to look out over the pool with the ocean just beyond. It was super quiet even with having lots of other families in neighboring units. We also loved having direct access to the beach any time we wanted to swim and having the local shops just a block away was a great bonus. We are looking forward to coming back in the near future and i would recomend this place to anyone looking for a great...

"Excellent location to enjoy Poipu area, easily walkable to beach ( uphill return). We needed to keep front door open to get cool breeze into apartment. Would have appreciated aircon, however did know in advance that there wasn’t any. Property is well maintained including the pool and spa. Enjoy watching turtles in the surf! Would stay again. "

"Whalers Cove Oceanfront Resort is top notch! We could not have asked for more…ocean views right from our living room, the sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep each night, steps away from the heated pool and hot tub overlooking the Pacific and a beautiful, grassy lawn overlooking the ocean just perfect for whale, sea turtle and dolphin watching. "Awesome stay!! Loved the sound of waves crashing on the beach from the room. Ocean view was at a slight angle. Our next stay here will be in a unit at the middle of the U with a more direct ocean view. Check in was at a nearby hotel. Quiet resort with 2 nice pools on what feels like a private beach. Walking distance to everything we needed, including awesome restaurants and Safeway. "
