"Disappointing that I ended up in a room with no outlook and no offer of upgrade"

"The Novotel exceeded our expectations. The check-in was friendly & efficient and the rooms were clean & spacious. The bathroom was large & modern with plenty of complimentary toiletries. We didnt use the bar/restaurant so can't comment on that. We were staying to attend a gig at the Uni, it was an excellent location for that. And also easy to get to the hotel ia M62. There is no parking but the Multi-storey literally 2 mins walk away had large parking bays & felt very secure. Overall the hotel was definitely value for money, I would recommend & would not hesitate to use if we were in the area again."

"We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Upon arrival, we were offered canapés while we waited to check in. The doorman asked why we were visiting, and when I mentioned it was for my wife’s birthday, he kindly returned with a gift of chocolates for her. We loved the high ceilings in our room, and it was beautifully decorated. The bar area was stunning, and we enjoyed our drinks, although the £30 for two cocktails felt a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend this hotel; it deserves 5 stars! Additionally, the parking across the road for £13 for 24 hours was very convenient. The only downside was that using the pool required an extra fee."

"Prestige Hotel in a premier position as we were going to the Empire Theatre ! Room was fairly small but a king size bed and really nice shower/toilet en-suite ! My partner said she would have preferred if the dressing table had a mirror instead of having to use the bathroom mirror there was however a full length mirror in the room ! There isn’t any actual parking at the hotel but St John’s car park is very close by and only £6 per day ! I have one complaint! When I booked there was a promotion offering a free drink per person and as I paid in full over a month before my stay I expected this to be honoured ! However they apparently discontinued this before our stay so we didn’t receive this promotion! "
