"I enjoy the coziness of a small hotel. This one is small, with probably only about 15-20 rooms. That means not a lot of staff, so you’ll see the same people often, and they’ll remember you. Yes, the elevator is laughable tiny. If you are two people with luggage, you’ll be making two trips. The rest of the time just take the stairs. I chose the “courtyard” view (there’s not an actual courtyard) because I chose this hotel for the location, not the view. Plus, it cuts down a lot on the street...

"the air conditioning worked which was a god send at the time of the my trip. the room was extremely small but that's how it goes in that part of town. wasn't able to try the restaurant and there wasn't any room service, but there are relatively good restaurants across the street and around the corner that are open late. the front desk person was always nice."

"Hotel de la Matise is a small boutique hotel with under 20 total rooms. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They enjoyed our interactions as much as we did. The rooms are small and intimate yet clean and adequate. Would definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to Paris and hopefully they will. located near the Tulleries Garden. Their location is on a quiet street in the heart of Paris close to area Paris museums, shopping and dining."
