The hotel claims to have room service, which is not the case. They also state there is a spa and pool and show pics of them, yet neither had any water in them during our entire stay and no one informed us of this at check in, let alone any notes during booking. We had a suite with two sliding glass doors and neither had the screens on them and one of the screen doors was leaned up against the wall of our balcony. One of the sliding door locks was broken and one of the front door locks was broken. The hotel was not worth what we paid for it.

I told them it was our anniversary and they gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate. Very nice staff. The room is clean and spacious.

First, we were given a room, and when we opened the door, there were two men already in the room. After telling the front desk that our room was already occupied, they offered us a room type that was not what we booked! Also, the pool and spa were not open and that was not indicated when we booked the hotel. Lastly, there was no remote to the tv in our room. I had to call down for the fourth time during our stay to get a remote! Worst experience that I have ever had at a hotel!

The property is beautiful! The location is perfect, right off the freeway. Shopping area nearby and everything is a small driving distance. Several amenities were not available at my time of stay. However, I do look forward to another stay.

Disappointed with Hotel's.com
We really like La Bellasera and have stayed there before. However, I don't think we were notified by Hotel's.com that the hotel is going through a huge renovation project with a lot of construction and no amenities available. The service at the front desk by Joann was amazing. She moved our room and upgraded us to move from the room where the smoke alarm could not be shut off. She also gave us a discount for the inconvenience. I have been using Hotel's.com since 2013 regularly, and I was disappointed I wasn't told this was going to be the situation. We would have selected another hotel for this stay. Still, the hotel will be beautiful when completed next month, and the service at the front desk with Joann and Rick was exceptional.

Not quite the Experience we looked forward to
We had a high expectation for our Wine tasting trip yo Paso Robles, CA and staying at the publicized Bellasera Hotel but we were met by a total (not partial) refurbishing project for all the common areas of the hotel. No lobby, no restaurants, no wine cellar (was on pictures), no decent WiFi in the room (only in lobby area which was under construction) and absolutely no services!!! at all times there was only one attendant at reception for all hotel!! This was not communicated at time of booking and impossible to find alternative hotels at short notice!! Very disappointing

The room was very nice, clean and spacious. However, the hotel is under construction and there are no other services. No restaurant, exercise room or anything else. The main lobby was under construction. We were not told of this when we booked. Had we known, we would have gone elsewhere.

Wish It Was A Better Experience
Sadly there was extensive construction. The lobby, restaurant and pool were not only completely unavailable but under extensive construction. The hotel did post a note and they were forthcoming when I called and asked questions. They also did offer to upgrade us to a room with a fireplace because of the construction. But sadly the experience and service was still severely diminished by the construction. The first two staff members we encountered on our first day did not even greet us and were not friendly at all. The next two staff members we encountered on the second day were much friendlier. But first impressions do matter. Considering the construction severely impacted the appearance of the hotel (it felt more like a nicer 2.5 star hotel than a 4 star). I am very surprised the hotel didn’t think to offer anyone who stayed at the hotel at least one free night on a return trip or a free dinner at the hotel once remodeled (the fireplace was okay but couldn’t make up for the experience especially for the price we paid). If it was my hotel I would never want to leave guests with such an impression. In fact I would have closed the hotel down if needed such extensive construction. That said, we love the town of Paso Robles and we hoped to fall in love with La Bellasera and come back, but my husband and I agree considering the experience, the service and the fact that hotels seems unwilling to make better concessions for the condition of the hotel, we would not return.

Failed to mention they were construction
The property failed to let us know the entire place would be heavy under construction during our entire stay. Nothing was opened, no pool or restaurant or anything. I had to wheel my mom in from the side. It was noisey at 7am and our room which was supposed to have a pullout bed, didn’t. Would like a refund but they don’t answer messages

Staff were nice, helpful and friendly. The hotel was in the midst of a full reconstruction. Parts were not clean or presentable due to the construction
