"This bed and breakfast is a beautiful old building in the historic district. They serve delicious home cooked breakfast and you can have it delivered to your room or eat in the dining room. In the evening they serve snacks and wine and dessert.We had booked a ghost tour and were picked up by a shuttle. There is a nice restaurant within a short walking distance. "The house is very pretty and the decor helps to enhance the feel of just how old the house is. However, our room was on the third floor which would have been no problem except my mom had hurt her hip just before our trip and the stairs were difficult for her to get up and down- this house does not have an elevator. The location near Forsyth park is excellent- the parking was not very great as it is street parking and you have to contend with street sweeper days if you are there on Monday night...

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Gastonian. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The customer service was great. We enjoyed the personal touches such as made to order breakfast, complimentary snacks and drinks. Our room was spacious and clean. We know we are not in Savannah or at this hotel to watch tv, but a larger size TV would have been appreciated. And for people who have difficulties getting up and down stairs, you probably want to check with The Gastonian prior to booking."

"We loved staying at the Eliza Thompson House! Everything was great! Especially the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! We loved the rooms, the delicious breakfast, the cocktail hour (with various wine offerings and hors d’oeuvres) and an after dinner dessert hour! There is also coffee, tea, waters and sodas available all day long. We arrived the day after the snow storm, so we were not able to sit outside on the courtyard patio with fountain etc., but we could see how beautiful it...

"What makes this place special is the staff working at the Inn. The two managers at the front desk are friendly, personal, having good knowledge and knowing the history about the town and the neighborhood. The chef prepared the four breakfast we had there without any repetition. We would definitely return in the upcoming years! "
