"We enjoyed 2 nights in the Old Florida Room in April. It was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The decor was delightfully unique and the breakfast at the on-site cafe was delicious. It was an easy walk to the beach and several places to eat. Bike rentals were close by and were a great way to explore the beach towns along the 30A. If ever back in the area, we would stay here again!"

"The property is kept very beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with just the right amount of items. The furniture in our living room (505) was very uncomfortable. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The dining room and extra sitting room and the 2 bathrooms were all very comfortable to have. I would have preferred a balcony and wish I would have known before arrival that one was not part of our room. "

"Gorgeous landscaping amid twisting, spanish moss dripping live osks, the Effie was outstandibgly welcoming. The staff was remarkably friendly and aimed to please in every situation from arrival each time we left the sight to our final departure, we felt like family. The Baytown Wharf had much to offer from live music to a plethora of restaurant chouces and shopping just a short walk from Effie Hotel. "Stayed three nights. Had all the convinces of home. First night was a learning experience. The pool was clean and clear. The room was clean , everything was well maintained and in good working condition. We was comfortable the whole time. It was mostly quiet although there was some construction going on around the neighborhood. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again."
