"Amazing stay at Skyrim. Quick 15 mins into the main restaurant area or a quick 5 min drive in. The lodge is brand new and very welled thought out. Great location and beautifully decorated. Communication with hotel made the checking process easy. Love the dark sky experience and glad we stayed at Skyrim since it was close by. Walking distance to lake Tekapo is also a huge highlight. "We had a fabulous family stay in the 2 bedroom apartment at Manata Lodge. Our adult family gathered from 3 different destinations. The surroundings were park like, the apartment and staff were very welcoming and we highly recommend this accommodation for a relaxing, peaceful stay. We made use of the pool, sauna and there was a spa as well. Our son (ex chief) cooked beautiful meals for us, using the kitchen and the BBQ and we all enjoyed Oscar, the cat, sharing the love! Thank you Manata Lodge....

"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"Amazing attention to detail for a specail retreat. Enjoyed the fire, views, quiet and spa. Nice to have an electric lazyboy and smart tv. Cooking facilities are good. Bathrrom os lovely. Blinds could be improved, getting a little tired but servicable enough. A fabulous relaxing stay, i have recommeded to friends, and I'm keen to return myself!"

"We stayed for 2 nights with 3 adults and 2 children and it was absolutely perfect! The views were phenomenal :) Highly recommended! Rooms were lovely and clean. Check in/out instructions were very detailed and clear which made things so easy for us. Communication with the owner was easy and he was very attentive to our needs. "
