"Was unsure about booking as it had a low customer rating, however in the whole we were pleasantly surprised. The location is excellent just off the high street and overlooking the cathedral at the back. Parking was fine and there were always spaces during our stay. Our bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. No problem with the bathroom. If we were being picky I’d say the bedroom/ bathroom was a little dated but for what we paid was fine. "Great location for central Winchester. The parking situation is awful, we stayed 6 nights, and were in and out whilst staying and spent what seemed like ages driving around the one way system going from one car park to another trying to find space (each time you tried either the top or bottom car park it was another loop around the whole of the city centre!) "Great service, beautiful room. There was a problem with our meal on the first night but the waitress, Olivia, did everything she could to make the issue not feel so bad, and then we were given a most generous reduction to the bill. These things happen, but it’s how they are dealt with makes up for it. Lovely, relaxing stay."

"Such a beautiful property! Staff was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was perfect (for a low cost) and the dinner was delicious, I got the Guinness pie. Rooms were a little small but just right for me and my daughter. We went in the winter time so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful grounds. Highly recommend. "
