"The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!"

"Overall a great stay at York Roomzzz. The location is great, only a short walk into town. The room was clean and comfortable, the only issue was the noise from the apartment above, which kept me awake but thankfully not the kids. "This is a nice hotel in good location. They have free parking and that is a plus. The host works very hard to see that you have a good stay. The breakfast area is rather busy with a fixed breakfast that is not self serve.. As in many of these stately hotels in England, you have to struggle up three flights of stairs with your luggage as there is no lift. "Really lovely place. Staff can't do enough for you. Really convenient to walk into York and excellent value for money. The room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable. I did turn the radiator on in both the bathroom and bedroom as it got quite cold at night and it was lovely and snug. Only slight negative was being by the kitchen (room 2) and could hear the staff every morning.
