"The Solana is a good hotel, in a great location.Staff were amazing, very helpful , they went the extra mile! On the downside, their AC only works at to a certain temperature depending on the time of year, not great as our room was warm. We also had to swap rooms after two days due to the noise from a large flume vent outside our bedroom window, the hotel were more than happy to accommodate with a new room."

"No problems at all. Everything bad that I read in some of the poor reviews on here, didn't apply. Lifts and door locks were fine, the staff were pleasant, and the room was cleaned every couple of days. It was very quiet on my stay, and I only saw a couple of other guests. Didn't get chance to try out the pools as it was a bit too cold. Location is good, and it's only a 2-3 minute walk to the bus stop which you can use to travel to the airport, Valletta, St. Julian's etc. A bargain for less...

"We went for my friends 30th birthday trip and had a fantastic time. The rooms were large clean smelt fresh and very comfortable. There was enough space to sleep and relax in the room. The amenities were very amazing, the indoor heated pool area was 10 out of 10 and the gym was equipped nicely too. There was an initial miscommunication but that was resolved excellently by the manager Abir and she attended to our needs effortlessly would highly recommend and again thank you to Abir for her...

"We checked in and were given a room early but it was in an inner courtyard and it was a bit claustrophobic. So, we asked for another room and went out for lunch. We came back and the hotel gave us the best room in the hotel with a large outside patio with the only jacuzzi tub in the hotel. After a long day of walking around Valletta it was nice to soak our tired bodies in the hot tub. We spent an enjoyable 3 nights at the hotel!"

"From the welcoming drink to check out this hotel is excellent. Room was spacious, clean and safe. Breakfast was incredible from full english,fruit,and pastries. Room gad kettle, fridge and hairdryer all a positive bonus. Walk in town where there us ample places to eat is 20min walk. Would highly recommend this hotel. "

"My 2nd stay here and I will stay here again when I am next in Malta in October. The main positive for me is the location and the room is very quiet / good sound proofing and I can always get a full nights sleep which can be rare in St Julians. The staff are amazing. Very kind and helpful. Nespresso machine in room and free pods every day. Everything clean and tidy. Good fridge nice and cold. Perfect!"

"Not exactly what we were expecting for a 4* hotel! We booked a well appointed and spacious suite with balcony and ocean views. Unfortunately there was no furniture on the balcony nor was it permitted to place any furniture outside - what a waste of a balcony!! Whilst the area of Paceville provided a huge range of eateries, the area didn’t feel particularly safe at night. A lot of road works and road closures close to the hotel didn’t help either.
