Once in the room on the first floor. My family noticed a homeless camp on the other side of the parking lot. We closed the curtains. The room stunk and the final straw was that the toilet didn't flush. I talked to the manager and she allowed us to move to another room which smelled better and was on the 2nd floor not facing the homeless encampment. This room had an AC unit that was pulled away from an exterior all which allowed a very large hole for fresh air to come in...however, temps were below freezing, so we plugged the hole and made it through the night.

There is a homeless encampment behind the hotel, and they were noisy all night. Hotel is very rundown and old. Doesn’t fit the “Wyndham” image.

We weren’t sure we would have all 4 wheels on our vehicle when we came out. We went up to our room and the key didn’t work. So I went back down and got another key, it worked. Then we went in, there was paper and a coffee stir stick, and dirt on the floor around the desk when we walked in. The only trash can had liners wadded up in the bottom, but none put properly in the can. The rotes for the tv wouldn’t work and there was no phone in the room. You open the curtains to look out on some containers and a big homeless camp. Not very inviting, or safe. I didn’t feel safe to use the workout room either. It was the worse stay we have ever had. The staff at the counter had only been there 2 weeks and couldn’t help us with anything, and the morning staff spoke very broken English and when my husband explained our situation to the young man, he didn’t say anything.

First to get in the front door was a sign that said use your room key. But no place to use it even if I had one since I hadn’t checked in. Clerk buzzed me in. Got a room; it was ice cold. Complained, he put us in a second room with a space heater that was blowing. Door would not bolt. We went to bed anyway. People in the parking lot outside the room, apparently under the influence and yelling. No trash can in the room. I could not wait to get out of there

You can share it live if you want. We checked out after the first night. Tbe first room we were assigned was 323. The room was freezing cold and the room heater (a separate machine) was unplugged and unhooked from the wall, leavibg outside air coming in. After complaining we were moved to room 123. Tbe heater worked, but we were very startled by homeless folk who live in the parking lot tapping on our window. We did not sleep much or well that night. I found other lodging THE NEXT DAY AND CHECKED OUT. They told us our refund would be in 2-3business days. Please refund our money and DO NOT STAY in this hotel.

When I booked this hotel, the website shows a decent place with nice rooms. But when I pulled into the craphole, there were two drug deals going on in the parking lot and the car I parked next to had its driver nodding out with his phone in his hand. My husband honked and the junkie woke up and drove off. We then got out of the car, to my surprise I look over and see a woman climbing through the window into the hotel room! After all that, since we already paid for the room we were going to look at it. I asked the front desk if our room had a king bed and a Jacuzzi. She said no kings were available and she isn't sure which rooms have Jacuzzi tubs, which just baffled me. She asked if it was okay for me to wait while she personally walked room to room to see which has a tub. At this point I'm so disappointed I'm looking for hotels on my phone. While she was gone I watched another drug deal and had a very sketchy person walk in the so called lobby. I felt unsafe so I told the person who walked behind the counter to just forget about our reservation. I do not recommend this icky place to anyone who has family or standards.

The property was conveniently located to the 5th Ave. Mall for shopping, and was easily accessible to being able to get around Anchorage, Alaska. What I did not like was: when my grown children tried to check in they were treated as though they were a family of criminals. I had made the reservation and got our conformation, so I thought everything was set. Was I ever wrong. If it would not have been for my sister being there to help them, I am not sure they would have had a place to stay at all on Friday night. Then there was a $100.00 deposit that was added on, that was not mentioned on the web site. When I finally arrived on Saturday afternoon, they had told that the TV hadn't worked and there were no batteries in the remote. I went to the front desk, got new batteries, still no TV. They sent someone up to fix it, and he was supposed to come back with a new remote, that never happened. We went to dinner and I asked the front desk to see if they could get the problem solved before we came back. We never had a working TV the whole time we were there. I worked hard for my money as I am sure you do to, so when I spend that money on something as a hotel room, I at least expect to be treated as a human and not a criminal. I have been distraught over this since it has happened and I am very displeased with your services at this particular site. I will not recommend these accommodation to anyone travelling to Anchorage in the future.

The door to my room was falling off the hinges due to recent renovations. 3am there was some bs outside from the neighborhood or guests I’m not sure. I won’t be staying here again.

The front desk was not accommodating at all. It’s in a very dangerous area. They do not offer shuttles to the airport and the room was uncomfortable at best.

My reservation was based on advertised amenities, many of which were misrepresented or nonexistent. Free breakfast wasn't provided, a major inconvenience. The fitness center was dirty, unsafe, and unusable. There was no central heating, only a small, inadequate space heater. The advertised shuttle service was unavailable, forcing me to pay for rideshares after being left waiting in the cold. My "view of the gorgeous Alaskan landscape" was actually of a homeless encampment.

Do NOT stay here. There is literally a homeless camp behind the hotel and the homeless wonder around the property all day and night. The doors are supposed to remain locked 24/7 but the key card doesn’t work to let you in so if no one is at the desk you are stuck knocking until someone comes. Upon arrival we were given a room number when went up to the room the door was open and still hadn’t been cleaned we were given a different room and There is no heat in the building they are using individual electric heaters, and the room did not get warm the whole night. It was semi clean and the beds were decent that is about the only nice thing in the hotel. The staff is rude and argumentative, they charged me 100 dollar incidental fee when I called to ask why it was not refunded he said I needed to wait 3-5 business days for it to be refunded I tried to explain to him that I see where they tried to refund my card $100 but the actual amount next to the description was $0 and then the $100 dollar hold was posted. He argued with me that it was returned but like other reviews I believe they do this quite often and are stealing from their customers. I will have to dispute the charge with my bank. The Wyndham should be ashamed of the way this hotel is ran and attached to their name it’s a dump and definitely not worth the rate they charge to stay there.

I had problem right from the start with the desk clerk. He explained to me that he had been working 18 hours and was tired and angry with one of the other staff. I did not like my stay there
