A quiet , comfortable and cosy hotel which is ideal for exploring the local 1066 countryside and beyond into the south coast at Hastings, Bexhill, Rye areas It’s small, but everything they do is great The staff are lovely I particularly want to commend Toby for being so accommodating and helpful after I checked in very late one evening I’ve already booked to come back when I’m next in the area

Small hotel in a pretty setting . It feels more like B&B rather than a hotel . We walked to a local vineyard-Carr Taylor via back roads . However , not much else in safe walking distance as on a very busy road if you turn left and if you turn right is hire country lanes the exception of the vineyard . If you driving or ubering or walking 10 miles plus this is a good base . Slept ok . Ate there for evening meal - Resturant onsite but very English pub grub style .

The hotel was stunning and the room was beautiful. Staff were lovely and breakfast was delicious. Our issue is with Expedia who told me they had taken the deposit but when we checked in the hotel hadn't received it so I had to pay the full amount and have been told to claim the deposit back from Expedia.

We had just booked to stay overnight, and wished the stay could have been longer. The view from our window of the beautiful gardens was amazing. It was incredibly peaceful. Parking was very easy. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff were also very welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here!
