"Old apartment block but internal of the unit was alright. Good location, close to Sainsbury’s and a few restaurants, some better ones need to book in advance though. There were towels and games and WiFi was steady. However, kettle was black inside, no toilet rolls, some plastic cups with white marks and management company was closed after keys picking. "Great stay a woodbine cottage. It's a great location for all the shops and pubs, and some fabulous hiking from the door. Good sized accommodation for 4, but maybe tight for 6 as the bunk beds are very rickety and small, so maybe not advisable for small children."

"A lovely apartment right in the centre of Bowness-On-Windermere. The accommodation was spotless, cleaning spray, washing up liquid and cloths were provided. The bed was lovely and comfortable. People have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. They caused us no problem but if people have mobility problems I can understand they might be a problem. If we return to the area we would stay here again. I am glad I didn’t book somewhere in Windermere, this was five minute walk to the lake. "

"The property is right on a very busy main road, the main bedroom is at the front so traffic noise is an issue. The curtains aren’t blackout curtains so street lights are an issue and one being faulty and strobing intermittently didn’t help. The exterior of the front could definitely do with some tlc as well. "Charming lodge with a fantastic hot tub and log burner. The place is nice and warm and private (I think the bushes have grown since the other reviews!). We did reverse our car up to the top of the drive, this blocked off views to the garden. Short walk into Cartmel, Grange isn’t too far either."
