"I’ve stayed in a few inexpensive hotels over the years. This ranks among the best. Start with the negative. Room not quite ready on arrival but they did allow me to leave my case. One towel was slightly damp but this wasn’t an issue. I’ve never been expected to pay extra for my tea, coffee and kettle. Positive’s. The reception were very friendly and helpful but also managed to be professional. The room was prepared very well. The housekeeping staff were obviously working to a high standard the ones I met were very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the shower, although basic, was easy to use and effective. Apart from the lack of tea making equipment everything that you expect was there. The lighting was very well done which may seem s small point but made the room feel more pleasant, as did the efficient heating. One more point. The hotel is quite well located and seemed quiet on my visit. I’ve never stayed in any of this chains hotels. They are high on my list now though. Recommend."

"It was a one night stop on our way from Western Wales to Cornwall and a much needed rest between our destinations. It was a perfect City respite for our road trip :)"

"We stayed in the Marriott for one night, we werdd ed down Cardiff to watch a show, from the moment we arrived at reception they were very welcoming, our room was immaculate on 7th floor, no noise very comfortable. We also had breakfast which I couldn’t fault, lots of breakfast choices, plenty of tea anc coffee on hand, the waiter service was faultless and the young girl that served coffee was so kind, would definitely stay at this hotel again"

"firstly the location of the hotel is brilliant. and located a one minute walk from a fantastic services with a selection of food and drink. plus a large bay of fast electric car chargers. the hotel itself is basic and functional. nothing flashy but it has all you need. good beds, decent shower, large clean rooms and friendly staff. nothing really to dislike. you can park right near the front door and it’s very reasonably priced. "
