Madingley Hall

4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (735)
"Its a lovely old manor house set in its own lovely grounds and is part of Cambridge University. It is set on the southern side of the city. Check out is a very civilised 11am. It has a spacious bar with a garden terrace which does a limited menu but there is a pub a short walk away if you want something more substantial and a larger selection of beers. Breakfast is comprehensive and good quality. If having a cooked breakfast and there are not many guests booked in I would advise eating near the...

"Vince came and met us upon arrival, we were very early but parked the car no problem and were given the keys there and then. Really great customer service, the room was fantastic, clean and well presented. Breakfast was great too, a wide choice of food all fresh and cooked to order. Would highly recommend Home From Home, for anyone looking for a really decent B&B in Cambridge. Short 15 to 20 minute stroll across Jesus Green to the city centre. Thanks for a lovely stay."

Hilton Cambridge City Centre

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (1001)
"Great location! About a 5-10 minute walk to everything in Cambridge. The biggest pain is how bad the traffic is getting to the hotel and really only having the option for valet parking. But it was a wonderful stay. The staff was top notch as were all the facilities. Another guest had room service and left their tray in the hall for what seemed like a very long time. But other wise it was great!"

"One of the best hotels for customer experience I've been to: the staff were helpful, polite and always greeted you with a smile. I had contacted them on booking and said it was a special occasion, and when we arrived there was a lovely card and treat waiting for us as a surprise, such a lovely touch. The reception staff were also fantastic at catching my random emails asking for little things to ensure a special surprise for my partner wasn't spoiled; they played along and it went off without a...
