"My daughter and I went to visit family and have to say this was the best hotel by far that we have stayed in whilst in Torquay. (we have used many over the years) They had thought of everything and the attention to detail was superb. I am Gluten Free, the breakfast area had GF bread and cereal well away from any cross contamination with a dedicated toaster just for GF bread. Will definitely stay again in the future. "

"Staff were great looked after us well, extremely friendly . Bedroom was lovely , great view . We just found the bed to hard to sleep on , had a bout 4 hours sleep and just sat in the chairs watching the sun come up . "

"Breakfast was as good if not better than many of the top hotels. The lighting in the room (121) was too dim. The bathroom did not have enough flat surfaces to hold all the toiletries. Staff were excellent and very attentive. I would use the hotel again and would recommend it highly."

There was work going on while we were there which was a minor inconvenience but the room we stayed in was the real let down. Dated and uncared for. "Not quite sure it meets 5 star standard. Room space is lovely, plush and beds super comfy. Bathroom quite basic but shampoo etc provided. Spa ok but could with refurb now as facilities dated. One if the steam rooms out of order. Large glass door smashed and awaiting repair. Loungers by pool were soggy and stank. Lifts up to the spa all out of order Breakfast was the highlight. Ok hotel but nothing special. "
