"Quirky shared path through rear yard, friendly neighbor. Cookwear tired but functional. Comfortable bed and lounge furniture, wifi good. Hot water and small bathtub was nice. Walking possible from cottage but we found unmaintained paths and stiles. Good grocery shopping in town. Foot and vehicle traffic past front of cottage made the lounge less relaxing at times. Parking was busy but we always found some. Overall a thoroughly pleasant place to stay in a beautiful area."

"Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location. The kitchen facilities were excellent including a full size fridge. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We were left some lovely extras including milk and biscuits. We got to watch red squirrels outside the window too. Our hosts made us feel welcome but gave us our space. Highly recommended "

"Amazing. Arrived early just as they had finishy cleaning. No problem. Allowed us in good welcome pack, milk tea coffee biscuits. Everything very tastefully presented. Nothing except a playground in the village of Warcop. 5 miles to Appleby in one direction. Kirby Stephen in the other. Lovely countryside."
