"We chose the penthouse, because I felt like a penthouse would be good. It wasn’t. We flew late at night from the US only to learn that the penthouse was on the 5th floor and they didn’t have an elevator. This made it impossible to stop by quickly at the hotel to get a hat or quickly change a shirt. We didn’t stay. We left the same night and went and stayed at their sister property with an elevator. "I had a really great stay here. First, the building is amazing. Staying in a beautiful setting like this really added to my experience in Kathmandu. Second, the staff is great. From thoroughly cleaning my room each day (more than is typical at a hotel) to making sure my bed was heated at night, they were attentive to all my needs. Third, the breakfast buffet was great. They also augmented it with some Nepali cuisine cooked to order. The only negative is that I seemed to have an allergic reaction...
