"There are so many great things about AV Suites. The staff was great! Well trained but not robots. Very friendly and personable. They made us feel very welcome and really seem to take pride in the resort. First the views are incredible and stunning. Standing on the balcony of our room was amazing. We stayed for 9 days and the room was big enough for us. We didnt feel cramped up on the 1 day it rained. There are a few things I wish that I had known before we stayed there. Maybe other reviews...

"This hotel is nicely build. It has electricity generator to compensate for public network failures. The staff is effective. The room has real windows that can be opened. "After a very long trip to get there, I was greeted by the staff with "Oh sorry sir, your room will not be available for three days. Let us give you a different room until then." The room they offered was nearly a shack in the jungal, across the street from the beach with no refrigerator or wi fi."

Only negative was that the advertised free parking was not free if you book through an on-line service, like Orbitz. We had a power failure the first night and it knocked out WiFi for the remainder of our stay. Same for Cafe Marco and Dawei Tea House. But that was beyond...

"Food was great. Room was as expected, a bit old but perfect for us. Hotel is very well situated on the « boardwalk » but not in the noisy-party part , just close enough to enjoy and sleep well. Diving was marvelous - great dive center. Service like if you were on a liveaboard!!"
