"The hotel roomed seemed spacious and clean. The shower ran out of hot water first thing in the morning. I had to take a cold shower at 7 in the morning because the warm water just went away and I had the handle turned all the way to hot. Not a great experience. And my husband was charged $10 for a small bowl of cereal and a coffee which is steep. "

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy...

"Hotel Du Vin at St Andrews was absolutely fabulous! The staff were attentive, but not intrusive, helpful and more than ready to share their local knowledge; quite frankly it was an idyllic stay. One comment I feel is warranted is that we booked two rooms with sea views, which were absolutely superb…but if we’d not done so and ended up with a view of the car park I’d have felt a little disappointed I suspect, as the car park area is literally an enclosed quadrangle, so not great tbh.
