The hotel is ideally located for staying when visiting UCD. I have made numerous trips this fall, staying here each time. I have never been disappointed. The hotel is always clean, the staff is welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is wonderful. Bala continues to go out of his way to make my stay comfortable. I appreciate his professionalism and customer care.

Bala is a gem. He is exceptionally courteous and helpful. This is my second stay at the Talbot this fall. I come here when visiting my daughter at UCD. This is certainly my go-to for a hotel. The location is perfect for campus visits. The hotel is immaculate, breakfast is fantastic and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend the Talbot for anyone visiting the South of Dublin, particularly UCD.

Lovely area and staff. A bit of unprofessionalism from the check in lady who was rudely telling the cleaning attendant to clean her work area while checking us in, could have finished with us first and been nice about it. The restaurant did not have a lot of vegetarian options although that was not a bad thing we were able to order from the nearest restaurants

The front desk and room facilities were fine. When it came to food, the first night dinner was most under whelming fish was undercooked as was the batter and the waiter's only answer was free tea or coffee!! Continental breakfast was little in choice and the fruit still half frozen. Suffice too say we ate elsewhere. Would highly recommend not staying here unless bed only

We chose to stay at this property as we were visiting friends and dining at a nearby restaurant. There was some initial confusion re our room as I had specifically requested (and paid for) an updated room with a larger bed. I also specified this when the hotel sent me an email prior to our stay. The email was clearly not viewed so I'm unsure as to why they send out such emails when the responses are not viewed. The breakfast was ok but it lacked finesse and the dining room is in bad need of updating. It is very tired looking. The bedroom (refurbished) was excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable. I recommend staying in one of the refurbished rooms as they are clean, modern and well equipped.

It was a really nice hotel, very big and staff good, un Friday night they had a wedding reception that had music bearing until 3 in the morning! And the loading of what I assume was the band equipment into a van just after midnight was also right outside our window. It's a big hotel, if you are having a disco till 3 in the morning don't put people who are not attending right above it!

My sister and I stayed here. There was noises our first night. It seemed to be coming from the building. It sounded like construction was being done, and at midnight it sounded like a dog trotting around above us. We forgot to add an additional night, and the hotel kindly extended our stay on one of their busiest days when they couldn't reach us, which was greatly appreciated. Their soap and body wash had an amazing sent. Overall, we had a good stay.
