Like many beaches in the Hamptons, East Hampton Main Beach is a quick walk or bike ride to shops, accommodations and other sights. Bask in the serenity of Hook Pond or check out the shops and restaurants that line Main Street. Visit local attractions such as Home Sweet Home Museum and Old Hook Mill, an old-fashioned windmill.

Parking tends to fill quickly at East Hampton Main Beach. If you don't have a season permit, pay for daily parking at the entrance to the parking lot. Consider traveling to the town via train or bus it’s 2 miles (3 kilometers) from the East Hampton Train Station to Main Beach.

Visit East Hampton Main Beach daily throughout the year. Unsurprisingly, summer is its busiest season, but the beautiful beach has something to offer visitors every month of the year. Dress warmly to stroll along the sandy shore in fall or winter to appreciate serene isolation.
