The island of Gili Meno is beautiful and these villas are nestled towards the centre of the island. The actual property is very pretty, with bamboo style structures and lots of bougainvillea growing. There is amain pool surrounded by rooms which looked clean and lovely, although we had a villa with a private pool.
The villa was small but good with mosquito nettings, comfy bed, clean sheets and spacious bathroom. The pool was salt water, but very clean and the patio area was a real sun trap.
The downsides are that the tapwater is salt, although the shower is fresh water which I think is a luxury on meno, it was however a cold shower. The toilet broke twice in our 2 night stay but the staff fixed it immediately, WiFi is patchy but that didn't bother us and they have regular power cuts. This isnt a problem has they have a back up generator, it was just unfortunate that it was situated behind our villa so filled out bathroom with petrol fumes up to 3 times a day, so I suggest avoiding villa 8.
The hotel has a a good restaurant and breakfast, a nice bar by the main pool and really friendly staff who will help you navigate the island on foot so you don't need to support the horse and cart trade on the island which doesn't treaties horses very well. You'll be blindsided when you get off the boat but I'd implore anyone to head to any of the tour companies in the harbour and ask for a map and directions rather than take a cart.its about a ten min walk and really not that tricky.
