"Very much an Air B’nB property with a long set of rules and no engagement with staff but perfectly placed to explore the Hakone area. Train station and bus stop within couple of minutes walk, as was Hakone Open Air Museum and 7/11. Even better, a brewery is next door! House itself is fantastic and modern. "

"The property exceeded my expectations. The only complaint I have is that some of the entries in their complementary guidebook led to some wasted time due to inaccuracies. I would definitely go to this accomodation again but I hope by then they have updated their book. Also there's the apparent fact that no public onsen seem to be in the area, so you should probably plan for going to hakone yamoto (hope I spelled that right) to get access to those. "I really liked Toyoko Inn Odawara. I am sorry I was unable to book other Toyota Inn stays in Japan. The room was comfortable, with a TV screen showing all necessary information. You could find toiletries and pyjamas in the ground floor lobby. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful (you sat at long tables along with other guests; it was a buffet style meal). My only issue was that I had been unable to sign up for membership from overseas."
