"This was the nicest place to stay, we hade the quadruple room on the ground floor and it was perfect for us. The bed was great as it was adjustable. We had arrived early after an overnight ferry and the host was happy to give us access well before the check in time , which meant we could have an unexpected trip to Brussels (which he helped us with, giving us advice on the local trains etc).. "Geert and Hans were excellent hosts and took very good care of us. We really enjoyed their company and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is excellent with excellent presentation. The rooms were beautiful and very well decorated. A lot of time and thought put into the rooms. You will not be disappointed and we miss De Brakelhoen already!"

"I stayed at this hotel for an overnight stop. Friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable room. Everything in very good condition. Reasonably quiet - a bit of traffic noise but even with the window open it didn't disturb. Basic breakfast with really nice fresh bread. Will use again if I'm in the area."

"Wow what a find! I've know of Parkhotel for many years due to their sponsorship of women's cycling. Super friendly and helpful staff, very clean comfy room and what a breakfast selection, genuinely I stay in a lot of hotels and let's face it, brekkie selection can make or break it! What a hotel!

"What a fantastic hotel! We were greeted warmly, shown to our rooms and offered extra service such as more bedding, milk, coffee if required. We were given maps of the city and recommended places to visit. The room was spotlessly clean, all fixtures and fittings worked and were of a very high standard. Trye bed was very comfortable and the pillows were super snuggly. Extras such as the soaps and shower gel were of high quality and smelled divine. We had a lovely view of the square from our room. Breakfast was perfect for us, lots of choice and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Spent an evening at the bar enjoying the cocktail making (not cheap, but worth it). Thank you to all who work so hard to make this hotel one of the best we have ever stayed at. "

"I originally had a different hotel booked but changed to this one at the last minute since it was closer to the city center and I read another review saying how it was very close to a parking garage. It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. The exit door from the garage is literally across the street (literally a few steps since it isn't a wide street) from the entrance to the hotel! The hotel room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, there was a kitchenette in the room, and it was close enough to walk around the city. If you just need a place to sleep, this is just fine. It's clean, comfortable, and affordable. If you do plan on driving, be aware that the hotel is located in a "low emissions zone" so the vehicle you drive must comply or you can be fined. Google "low emissions zone" and Ghent to fully understand what this means if you plan to drive! I would definitely stay here again."
