"It took 3 hours from the airport, to arrive late (approx. 9.30pm) they did keep the restaurant (limited as it was) open for us. Unfortunately we didn't pay attention to the pricing as we were shocked that we could not get cocktails! One type of beer and about four choices of spirits or wine. Turns out a drink costs more than in Australia! Meal was pretty basic too and not cheap. We took a chance as we wanted to experience the 'naturalist' (clothing free) experience. We wasted our money...

"This was booked as a private Villa with its own private pool, however we were disturbed by the owner entering the villa without being invited in which was very unnerving, especially when you open your bedroom curtains to find the owner outside your patio doors looking in. However, this is a fantastic villa and we had a really enjoyable relaxing stay. "

"Had an absolutely wonderful time at Bondalem Beach Club. The staff was amazing and did everything they could to make sure my stay was a joy. So much so, they climbed a tree to get me a fresh coconut. The rooms are spacious, welcoming and beautiful. The pools are spectacular. The sunrises/sunsets from my room’s patio were a dream. I highly recommend BBC if you need a quiet, beautiful and relaxing getaway. "

"The location is awesome. The facilities are just ok. The bed was a mattress on the floor, and no chair in the room at all. I put the toilet seat cover down to sit on it, and it broke. The manager/owner attempted to charge me RP500,000 for the toilet seat. I bought a new one and gave it to him, and my cost was RP85,000."

"We had a wonderful stay! The Homestay is set in the mountains with the village just down the hill. We felt welcomed into the home and the village. The property overlooks a lovely rice field and the mountains. The room was clean and tidy. Motor bikes and tours are able to be setup at the property. We ate like royalty while staying here for a reasonable price. My favorites were the fried rice and the fried plantains. "We never stayed because the map which we followed took us the wrong way . After 2 hours driving we gave up turned around and headed back to Bedugul. Where this accomodation was meant to be 13 k it stated on the web site. But then after we discovered 28 k along very windy roads . And the next day we were told you walk from the road? "

"We had the most amazing time at Hanging Gardens of Bali. It's a stunning location with friendly staff, incredible food, and beautiful views. We were welcomed with marigold garlands and drinks, and the service was exceptional. We also tried the spa services, and the massage and bath were both relaxing and unique. This is a must-visit place to stay in Ubud, and I highly recommend it!"

"A fantastic and chill way to spend time with the majestic Sumatran elephants in a very impressive environment. The facilities are great and they are constantly improving. The room was extremely comfortable and the staff quickly and effectively made up our room and performed the turndown service seamlessly. The place is a ton of fun and very well cared for. My family loved it all. "

"Buahan is by far my favorite resort. Every single person there is extremely friendly and passionate about their job! I feel so joyful when I see them enjoying their job and life - Ogi, Asana, Legi, Monica, and others (sorry I forgot your names…). And the view is the best! To me, it’s a very spiritual place that allows you to fully connect with the nature. I look forward to coming back😊"

"Such an amazing experience at this hotel, not only is the staff incredibly kind and attentive they are also so thoughtful. We stayed for our honeymoon in the pool villa, and on the first night we came in they gave us a call in the morning to see if we’d like to have breakfast even after breakfast hours were over since we hadn’t eaten. They always asked us about our itinerary to help us decide best places to go or offer us shuttle service or a car. We went on a lovely trip with Joe to the swing and coffee plantation, he’s so fun and knowledgeable, he was also so patient with us and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The room itself is beyond what I expected, so clean and beautifully designed. The bathroom is so spacious and gorgeous that we could probably just live there. The shower has the best water pressure and the hot water keeps going even when we’ve filled the bath and want to use the shower after. Such an amazing experience, I really wish we had booked longer. Highly recommend staying here, and hope to come back one day! Also they offer yoga in the morning, a free foot massage when you first come and their chicken is halal. Amazing experience!! Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel!! "
