"Good stay at the Pear Tree Inn! Staff were great, calling me as I was arriving late and sending across a AVT invoice quickly (as there is no one there on checkout)! There is no hairdryer in the room - I didn’t realise this until the morning and there was no one downstairs to ask! "

"Very friendly staff. Rooms very clean, and housekeeping came round everyday. Beds were very comfy and the bed linen and towels were of a good quality. I ordered a full cooked breakfast at 8am everyday and it was cooked for me and was substantial. "

"Couldn’t have wished for a nicer stay. Perfect location to travel into London with frequent trains from Harpenden station. The room was lovely and spacious. The bathroom was luxurious. Breakfast was excellent with great choice and service. Highly recommend. "

"If you are wanting to stay 25 minutes from London in a quiet English Village the the excellent Red Lion is for you. Don't waste your money in London - go to the countryside and commute for 25 minutes to central London. The Red Lion is the perfect location - great country pub with excellent accomodation."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...

"As a family we were visiting Luton for a funeral and needed a hotel for the night. We had 2 rooms and both were well appointed with bathroom, twins beds, tv, towels and bedding and coffee & tea making available. Check in was super easy and the price was good. Lots of parking in a lovely little village."
