"This is the 3rd time that I am returning to Halcyon. It really is the best hotel on Mawella beach (and maybe even in whole of southern province :) The hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated, the staff are super friendly, including owner Xander, it's absolutely right on the beach , the food is great. What more to say, it's a little peace of heaven :) "

Basics such as mosquito nets, had holes in so didn't work, and had a little trouble with communication (being English) which didn't experience at other more rural places. Breakfast very very basic and not great for children (only tea or coffee provided etc.)"

Contro: gestito da due ragazzi di 18 e 20 anni che NON parlano inglese. Contro: camera tripla vuol dire letto matrimoniale king size da 180cm e non 3 letti Contro: pulizia della camera solo su richiesta al 4 gg l abbiamo sollecitata come il cambio di asciugamani. "We had a fantastic 6 night stay at Surf N Spice, the guys who run the place are amazing. They made our trip so easy and relaxing. Huge comfy room with excellent aircon and a nice balcony to sit and relax on. The breakfast they serve as incredible, best we have had in 6 months travelling. It's exciting that they are constantly developing and improving the property including a new cafe which was nearly finished when we left and looked great. Lots to do in the area including 2 different beaches...
