We visited Catalonia for our 10th year anniversary. We were disappointed. The room I booked initially was not the room I checked in. This property is really old and needs a lot of work. The beds are uncomfortable. The door of our room was broken it was always so hard to get in and out the room, it was always stuck and made so much noise. Cats were drinking the pool water. I will never go back. The staff were not nice. They seem unhappy. Our room was never cleaned when requested. We had to go to the front desk to request towels and wash clothes. The food and drinks were the best part of our vacation.

Honestly my experience at the resort wasn’t at a 5 star level but the price was very good and it worked out for what we needed. It’s a beautiful property and they had night entertainment and a club to party. It’s a huge property and I just think some things were overlooked like there was no indoor fridge in our room and no water in case you get thirsty at night. They were good about fixing issues when you report them but generally I felt like it wasn’t a smooth operation. The housekeeping was very lazy as they were not good about taking up used cups from the balcony etc. It wasn’t a terrible experience by any means but they just need to tighten up a few things which is understandable cause they took over from Holiday Inn and are probably still transitioning.

Pretty good hotel and resort! I enjoy the beach, views and the access to everything. I’d suggest the staff (primarily the security) can be more friendly perhaps. The food was decent, I would wish for it to have more variety! But great experience overall.

We were here last year under the Holiday Inn owners and had no issues. So far this trip has nothing but problems. Thrre are 9 of us ,4 adults and 5 kids, so we needed 3 rooms 2 adjoining. Our rooms was supposed to be ready at 3 but weren't ready until 5. When we got to the rooms the 2 that were supposed to be adjoining were across the hall from each other and one of them was already occupied. They did give us the room next to the other but thr a/c was broken. The other room was missing the remote for the a/c and the phone didn't work. They tried to make it right by promising to up grade our rooms the next day. They did give us upgraded rooms on the 4th floor of building 2 which were nice rooms but the elevator was broken so we had to lug everything up and down the stairs every day. On the bright side the staff were amazing and made the trip a winner.

Went for my husband birthday. The room was ok except we had to keep the ac very cold or else the room gets very wet. The shower curtain was very short so with each shower the bathroom gets wet. The food buffet choices was very good, staff was very accommodating I always ask for condensed milk with my coffee. We had reservation for the Italian restaurant and this was such a disappointment! No salad was given only one choice I had a piece of salmon and my husband ordered meatball which he did not eat. They did bring a piece of cake for his birthday but they stated they don’t sing happy birthday. We left and went to the buffet for our dinner. The entertainment need very much improvement. Same band with different singer every night no chance for us to dance. No theme party! Band finished early and then there’s nothing to do. The disco was always empty. Need more daytime adult activities.
