"Parkgate is a great place to stay for a day or two in Cardiff. Walking distance from Cardiff Market, Castle and high street. Great food options and shopping nearby. The staff was great and very helpful. The spa (which is a separate business located in the hotel) wasn’t our favorite but the hotel itself is great. Definitely recommend."

"Great check in very quick and friendly. Used spa and pool before check in which was nice but felt like things are due to be updated. This continued when getting to the room. Overall nice stay but maybe be time to modernise "

"Booked as we have stayed previously. There was not enough toilet paper for one night and we ran out! Last time we stayed, we had complimentary drinks in the fridge, however, this was not provided on this stay so a little disappointing. Room was smaller than ones we had stayed in previously. I think I would book a more competitively priced hotel next time. Breakfast was good. Staff are always lovely. "
