I selected pay at hotel option when booking and only put my debit card on file to reserve the room. When I arrived at the hotel my debit card had already been charged earlier that day TWICE. Checkin was at 4pm and i arrived around 5:30pm so I am not sure why they charged my card twice. I was going to use my credit card rather than my dedit card so i was a bit frustrated that they double charged my debit card. When the manager came out he was extremely rude and never apologized for the mishap. He blamed it on the system and was raising his voice at me and that stated that, that was standard for hotels to do and said i don't know what world you're from, but this is what hotels usually do. I have never ever had this happen to me. His attitude towards the situation was just awful. He handled it very poorly and basically lectured me. Once he voided the transaction his employee continued to check me in and was also rude. He didn't say not one word to me and had a smug look on his face. He proceeded to slide my driver's license on the counter and said here's your ID instead of handing it to me. The whole checkin process was very disappointing and upsetting. Our room was fairly clean. The sheets and comforters did have some stains on them. There was also a pawprint on the sheet. Due to the earlier interaction i didn't even want to call and ask for a new sheet so we bought throw blankets from target. However, overall the room was decent.
