Seac Pai Van Park

Seac Pai Van Park

Come face-to-face with giant pandas, spot other exotic wildlife, explore botanical gardens and visit an agricultural museum at this nature park.

Seac Pai Van Park (Parque de Seac Pai Van) is a green lung of Macau, a 40-acre (20-hectare) site home to wildlife exhibits and recreation areas. Visit the park for the chance to get up-close with pandas, lemurs and monkeys, among several animal species. Bring a picnic to enjoy while surrounded by fascinating flora and delve into the natural riches and farming heritage of Macau.

A major highlight of the park is the Macau Giant Panda Pavilion, where pandas live and play in a recreation of their natural habitat. Two pathways allow you to watch from different elevations as the pandas play in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Meet other curious creatures, such as primates and red pandas, in the Pavilion of Rare Animals. See colorful insects at the dragonfly and butterfly garden, spot ducks, koi carp and pelicans in a pond and walk through a bird aviary.

Marvel at a fascinating array of colors and breathe in sweet aromas as you stroll alongside displays of exotic and medicinal plants. Find landscaped gardens perfect for picnics in addition to barbecuing areas and a snack bar. Children will have fun playing on the climbing frame, slides and swings of the playground. Be ready to spot unusual artifacts, including a Bryde’s whale skeleton and an old propellor-driven aircraft.

At the park’s free Natural and Agrarian Museum, over 200 exhibits highlight the farming methods of Macau and the lives of the region’s farmers. Browse examples of agricultural tools and numerous plant and animal specimens. Stretch your legs on the pathways of the Ecological Trail Garden of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

Located on the lower slopes of Alto Coloane hill, in the village of Coloane, the park is a 1-hour bus ride from central Macau. There’s a bus stop and car park located adjacent to the park’s southern entrance.

Seac Pai Van Park is open daily and admission is free. The museum, panda and rare animal pavilions are closed on Monday. There’s an admission fee to visit the giant panda exhibit.
