Search Cheap Hotels in Southern Islands

"I stopped over for 3 nights with my 2 children on our way home from New Zealand. Hotel was lovely and easy and inexpensive to get to from by taxi from airport. Location excellent with a shopping centre across the road and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The river cruises leave just minutes walk away and everything you need is close by. Chinatown around 5 mins walk away. Taxis were always waiting outside and we used these for gardens by the bay, zoo and airport runs. I was Surprised how inexpensive these were. Hotel quiet at nights and beds very comfy. Only complaint was that when I checked in i was told at reception if we wanted a late check out we could let them know at any point of our stay and that would be arranged. The next day I was told by a very unhelpful receptionist that this was no longer an option as the hotel was fully booked. As we had a very late flight and I have 2 children I decided to look at the day use website to see if i could find any hotels close by we could use instead. I spent a lot of time checking this and The Paradox Merchant hotel was coming up on that website as available for the times we needed it so I decided to try my luck at reception again to be told by a differrent receptionist this was not a problem so I proceeded to book late check out. I felt I could have been saved the stress of considering options and searching for alternatives if i had not been misinformed by reception initially. My children loved the pool which was pretty quiet!"
