"Summary We'd recommend the Bamboo house for one night specifically to the do the hike only. Go for the cheapest room. We booked two nights at the bamboo house, via Hotels.com, with the idea of hiking Mount Batur. Presumably like many other people visiting the area. We booked the king size deluxe room, the one with the triangular bamboo ceiling/roof, which was twice the price of a standard room. When we arrived we were shown to a standard room. "Beautifully located right on the lake with views of Mt Batur and surrounding mountains. Bungalows are simple but clean. Hosts Putu & Kadec we’re wonderful. They made me feel very welcome and were very helpful and generous. I highly recommend staying with them. "
