"Back in 1970 this was probably a lovely hotel, unfortunately it’s not been touched since and is now very dated, worn and unkempt. The area outside is filthy and much of the local area is semi derelict. Soundproofing is non existent so you’d better hope for considerate neighbours. "

"On arrival ther was nobody on site - no guests, no reception - had to ring number - no reservation. Man on reception checked and had received reservation and text us the way to let ourselves in. Other than that the place smelt of spices?? Due to being closed up. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. Fantastic view over countryside. Beautiful infinity pool We had a great 2 nights. On each accession only 1 other guest so more or less the place to ourselves. Didn't want to leave"

Prior to the arrival, the hotel repeatedly sent us messages regarding its restictive check-in times and payment policy. "The Hostel is situated on elevated ground pretty far from the train station. So if you have a luggage, you will have to lug approximately 2KM and uphill to the property. "The property is great in the centre of a small town. Number of eating and drinking places close by. HOWEVER there is no front desk and arrangements have to be made to check in. There's a buzzer at the door but nobody answers. The assumption is that everyone has a working cell phone to call the owners who live next door and get someone to come and check you in. We had to take our phone off "airplane mode" which cost us 8 Euros. Not good. We don't use Hostals as a rule and this won't change that...
